Agenda for a New Economy: A Conversation with author, David Korten
Join David Korten for a “rich”conversation among readers of his latest book, Agenda for a New Economy: From Phantom Wealth to Real Wealth, which offers a new Prosperity Story and a challenging but practical agenda for the Obama administration. Bring questions and comments regarding the transformation to a New Economy devoted to creating the real wealth needed to provide a better life for all, while bringing human consumption into balance with finite ecosystems.

Friday Field Trips
Chris Clements, director of Imago, will be leading a field trip to Grailville and Turner Farms. This field trip will explore some options in local food economies by observing these Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) organizations. Some of the highlights will include organic gardens, composting projects, farm animals, greenhouses, and strawbale-constructed buildings. At each location there will be an opportunity to discuss local food, sustainable practices, and food as a community builder. Grailville will prepare and serve a fresh lunch to attendants on-site. A Visit to Enright Ridge Urban Eco-Village (ERUEV)
Enright Ridge Urban Eco-village, Inc. is a community fostering a sustainable urban neighborhood, which promotes preserving the planet through social, economic and healthy lifestyles and demonstrates urban revitalization using these principles. Change becomes more sustainable and possible with the support and input of community. Enright Ridge Urban Eco-village, just minutes from downtown Cincinnati, demonstrates and nourishes a new way of living earth friendly lives. It has taken an inner ring neighborhood that was in decline and revitalized it through housing rehab, beautification, adding green attributes to the houses and to the neighborhood. A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is in the development phase. This tour will be lead by Jim Schenk, Enright Ridge Urban Eco-village Coordinator and will look at the history and structure of the eco-village as well as tour the village, including some of the homes, gardens and woods in the eco-village.

Sr. Paula González will serve as tour guide for a field trip to several exciting sites that feature renewable energy, energy-efficient design and innovative technology. A few of the sites we will visit are EarthConnection, Casa del Sol, College of Mt. St. Joseph and their green-roofed library. Paula will also introduce participants to other facilities with state-of-the-art technology around Cincinnati.

Saturday Evening Town Hall Meeting (open to the public)
Town Hall Meeting: Solutions for Hope
Models of living economies, brought to life by the merging of great ideas and creative people, provide the substance for this conversation between panel and audience. Each panelist will offer
her/his perspective on essential steps toward a sustainable economic system, illustrating concepts with stories of exciting innovations. Conversations among the panelists and questions from the audience will create a space for energetic dialogue about transforming broken economic systems into life-affirming, Earth-based real wealth. Panelists include featured presenter Miriam Therese MacGillis, OP, and breakout presenters Martha Crouch, Larry Falkin, Pat Murphy, and Jim Embry.
